What time does the school day start and end?
For FS2, Year 1 and Year 2 the day starts at 8.50am (doors open at 8.45am) and ends at 3.30pm. For FS1 the morning session is from 8.40am until 11.40am and the afternoon session is from 12.40pm until 3.40pm.
Does my child have to have a school dinner every day?
No, we provide a menu at the beginning of the school term and you and your child can pick and choose what days you want to have a school meal. School meals are free under the Government’s Free School Meal initiative for all children in FS2 and KS1. You can choose to have a school meal, a packed lunch or take your child home for lunch. Your child will be asked at registration what they are doing that day.

Can I take my child out of school during term-time?
Government Policy regarding pupil’s absence from school for annual holidays changed in 2010 and schools can no longer authorise absence during term time, except in special circumstances. A Special Circumstances Request form is available from the school office.
Where can I find the latest OFSTED and SIAMS reports?
These reports can be found on our website or you can request a paper copy from the school office.
How do I get in touch with the school governors?
Please call into school if you would like to speak to a governor.
Where can I find the school term dates?
A list of term dates are sent home at the beginning of the school year or they can be found on the website.
Can I move to this school in the middle of the academic year?
You would need to apply to the Admissions Team of our Local Authority. They will then tell you if we have places in the year group you request. You can apply in three ways; by telephone (01482) 392100, by email email@example.com or on their website www.eastriding.gov.uk
I would like to come into school to help. What do I have to do?
We always welcome parent/grandparent volunteers in school. You need a current DBS for us to be able to allow you in school. Please call into the school office for an application form and we can help you with that process.
Does my child need a PE kit?
All children get the chance to do PE as part of their school week. PE kits need to be in school on a Monday morning and to be taken home on a Friday. All children need a white t-shirt and navy blue PE shorts in a small kit bag. They also will need a pair of trainers for summer outdoor sports. Ideally all children are also requested to provide a spare pair of underwear to keep in their PE bag.
